...moving the world towards a better way of transporting everything for everyone
Always gets the job done
Up to 300 miles' range
The Tevva 7.5/8t BEV, first unveiled in September 2021, is a fully flexible chassis cab that’s ideal for a range of body fitments and duty cycles. Whether your need is ambient, temperature-controlled, tail-lift, tipper, crane or curtain-side, our zero-emission truck is the answer.
Tevva’s unique Hydrogen Fuel Cell Range Extender technology enables a 7.5 GVW truck to pack a net 275kWh of energy whilst retaining a payload capability of more than two tonnes.
Range on ANY EV is not constant, but 275kWh provides at least 450km range on the majority of days and at least 300km in the most adverse of conditions.
Every Tevva truck is subject to European Whole Vehicle Type Approval (ECWTA). All variants are available in left and right-hand drive.
Lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) than diesel
Tevva’s drive and focus has always been to make EVs as cost-effective and operationally flexible as diesel trucks.
Having Tevva BEVs and REX BEVs in your fleet makes environmental sense but it’s also a great business decision, with long-term expenditure on maintenance and running costs in mind.
What makes Tevva unique in the medium duty truck market is the commitment to making vehicles that deliver both zero emissions and cost parity with diesel RIGHT NOW.
The combination of realistic capital cost and reduced operating costs mean that Tevva trucks achieve total cost of ownership (TCO) parity with an equivalent Euro 6 diesel truck, from approximately 3,000km per month, or approximately 500L of diesel consumed per month. Pivotally, the capability to deploy on LONG routes EVERY day means that Tevva trucks can be used EXACTLY like their traditional diesel counterparts – delivering operational simplicity and achieving, or exceeding, that 3,000km per month. Consequently, TCO with a Tevva truck will often be LOWER than the diesel truck it replaces.
Patented Tevva software ensures that the lowest cost, lowest carbon energy is ALWAYS used to the maximum while the use of hydrogen energy is minimised.
Tevva trucks are smooth, responsive and relaxing to drive – meaning they’re easier and cleaner for the driver to operate.
Being much quieter than traditional diesel trucks – they allow for greater flexibility where night-time deliveries in urban residential areas are concerned.
Our trucks simultaneously address the dual crises of climate change and urban air quality because they offer the lowest possible CO2 per km and eliminate 100% of tailpipe pollution (NOx, SOx and particulates).
A Tevva truck has at least 1,000 fewer moving parts than a traditional diesel truck, paving the way for lower maintenance costs and increased uptime.
As a fully zero-emission truck with minimal moving parts, a Tevva truck means a step change in fleet longevity and a radical reduction in lifetime cost per kilometre.
Multiple variants in multiple geographies
7.5-19t GVW
Tevva trucks are more than simply zero emission, they are part and parcel of the sustainability that’s written into Tevva’s DNA. This focus guides our decision-making in all areas of our company.
Examples include:
Batteries – Tevva has adopted Lithium Iron Phosphate as its preferred battery chemistry (typically referred to as either LFP or LiPO4). LFP batteries contain zero Cobalt; this removes concerns over reported Cobalt mining practices, e.g. the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Tevva is mindful of the CO2 emitted when battery cells are manufactured; this is the battery’s equivalent of the ‘well-to-tank’ CO2 that needs to be accounted for with diesel. Tevva’s LFP batteries have an inherently long life and are capable of being re-deployed as ‘non-road’ batteries after their first ‘on-vehicle life’ is complete. This enables the battery to be charged and discharged over many thousands of cycles – radically reducing the ‘manufacturing CO2’ emissions per individual charge cycle by extension, per kilometre driven.
Drive Motors – Tevva has had a focus on the development of more sustainable drive motors since 2017 when Tevva invested in and partnered Advanced Electric Machines Ltd to develop a next-generation traction motor that contains zero rare-earth metals.
Rare-earth metals are problematic because of the quantity of toxic waste they produce – at Tevva, we ensure that as we clean up one problem, we do not create a different one.
Sustainability is at the
heart of everything we do
Tevva has set a goal that “before this decade is out”, more than 100,000 Tevva vehicles will be in service.
Covering approximately 5 billion km per annum, they will eliminate almost 100 million litres of diesel consumption per annum with a total CO2 reduction over the decade of 10m tonnes.
More than a quarter of a million miles (400,000km) already accumulated
